Rory Monaghan is the Founder and CEO of ePrescience, our all-in-one learning suite, inspired by and born out of his frustrations with existing study tools while studying Neuroscience, Psychology, Chemistry, and Mandarin Chinese at the University of Pittsburgh. After juggling his academics with working a number of day jobs for several years, from retail, making lattes, slapping together sandwiches, bouncing around on a foodtruck, he started his first real long-term project, Unplugged, at first primarily out of his DIY music venue the Black Lodge, and then on to organizing concerts like Oakland Indie Fest or Unplugged NYC, across Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and New York. Then, in his junior year of college, noticing the rapid evolution of technology with the untapped power of AI and automation, and the corresponding gap between what could exist and what did, he acquired an obsessive passion for learning about and building new technology to bridge those gaps. Rory began working on the application as a solo full-stack developer in 2025. That was before partnering with Nick & Lex to incorporate and build the company to a world-class software development power house, organized with dedicated teams specializing in testing, marketing, cross-platform full stack application development, database management, legal compliance, the full 9 yards. His approach blends hands-on product engineering with a deep interest in how people actually learn, remember, and perform under pressure. He leads ePrescience’s product vision and execution with one goal: simplify the modern “study stack” into a single, faster workflow that gives students their time back, and critically, doing all this while keeping in touch with the evolving needs of our student users. That’s why he pledges to continue to ensure students are involved in all of our conversations and decision making as we evolve as a company. When he’s not working on ePrescience, he works on his other projects, drives cool cars, travels extensively (20+ countries in 3 years!), and works on his side quests to become an EMT and a drummer in a Jazz band.

He specializes in modern iOS development, scalable backends and APIs, data-driven features, and AI-powered workflows that improve user experience while reducing operational overhead. Rory also designs automations that eliminate repetitive work across engineering, support, and internal ops, helping teams ship faster with fewer moving parts. He is the owner of RMonaghan Venture Studios LLC, the founder and CEO of ePrescience, and a co-founder of Auron Tomography Intelligence System.
